Jason Akeson scores four as Kitchener destroys the Attack 7-2

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Jason Akeson exploded for four goals as the Kitchener Rangers pummelled the Owen Sound Attack 7-2 on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Akeson, 18, had only six career OHL goals prior to Saturday's contest. The Orleans, Ont., native scored his first OHL hat trick on Nov. 28 against the Sudbury Wolves. He is in his first full season with the Rangers after recording two assists in 13 games in 2007-08.

Tyler Randell, Mike Mascioli and Micky Sartoretto added goals for Kitchener . Marcus Carroll and Grant McGee replied for the Attack .

Mark Van Buskirk made 25 saves for the Rangers, while Owen Sound netminder Tyler Beskorowany stopped 16 shots.
