Jaromir Jagr will play Thursday when the Florida Panthers face the New Jersey Devils (7 p.m. ET; FS-F, MSG+) after missing the previous game with the flu.
Jagr, who was scratched from Florida's 5-1 win against the New York Islanders on Tuesday, practiced Wednesday at Prudential Center. His next goal will be his 732nd in the NHL, which will break a tie with Marcel Dionne for fourth place on the League's all-time list.
"It was tough, three days of not doing anything," Jagr told the Miami Herald on Wednesday. "I'm a little tired [Wednesday] … I'll play [Thursday], I just needed to work out. My whole body is sore. I just need to be careful."
Jagr's 21 points in 28 games are tied for the Panthers lead with Jussi Jokinen. Jagr played 139 games for New Jersey from 2013-15 and scored 35 goals.
