Jamine Benn scores hat trick as Kelowna tops Kamloops 6-1 @NHLdotcom

Jamie Benn scored three times to lead the Kelowna Rockets to a 6-1 thumping of Kamloops Blazers in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

Benn scored at even-strength, on the power play and while short-handed to give him 34 goals on the season. Mikael Backlund, Cody Almond and Curt Gogol, with his first WHL goal, also scored for Kelowna (30-19-1-2). Kenton Dulle replied for Kamloops (25-25-1-4).

Kamloops goaltender Justin Leclerc turned aside 28 shots, while Kelowna's Mark Guggenberger stopped 15.

The Rockets finished 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Blazers ended up 0-for-6.
