OSHAWA, Ont. (CP) - Jamie McGinn scored 1:10 into overtime to lift the Ottawa 67's to a 4-3 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.
McGinn picked up the puck in the neutral zone and broke in on a 2-on-1 with Logan Couture before squeezing a wrist shot through the pads of Loic Lacasse for the game winner.
Matthieu Methot, Couture and Thomas Nesbitt scored the other goals Ottawa.
Oshawa's Dale Mitchell opened the scoring in the first period, converting a feed from John Tavares for his 38th goal of the year, while Cal Clutterbuck scored twice, including the game tying marker with 8.3 seconds remaining in regulation.
Lukas Flueler was solid for the 67's in net, turning aside 37 of 41 shots, including a couple in the dying minutes to preserve the victory. Lacasse, meanwhile, who nearly as good at the other end, making 33 saves.
