PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Jamie Lewis scored the winning goal and the Brampton Battalion held on for a 3-2 win over the Peterborough Petes in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.
Brampton (34-21-10) scored once in each period, with Sam Carrick connecting in the first, Ian Watters on a power play in the second and Jamie Lewis at 12:28 of the third to give the Battalion a 3-0 lead.
Peterborough (26-32-7) got a pair of goals from Andrew Yogan in the final four minutes to pull close, but couldn't get the equalizer.
The Petes didn't register a shot on goal for the first 14 minutes of the game and wound up with just 20 on the night, their lowest output of the season.
Brampton directed 36 shots on Petes' goalie Andrew D'Agostini, who made a number of strong saves to keep his team in the game.
the Battalion's Keegan Wilson made 18 saves for the win.
