Flyers' Voracek out against Red Wings: report

Forward skated for part of practice Monday but said he isn't ready to play Tuesday

Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek said he won't play Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings (7:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CSN-PH, FS-D), according to the Courier-Post.

Voracek has missed the past seven games because of a lower-body injury sustained Feb. 25. The Flyers are 5-1-1 during that stretch and are three points behind the Red Wings for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Eastern Conference entering play Tuesday.

Voracek, who said he hopes to return soon, joined teammates late in practice Monday, and general manager Ron Hextall said Voracek skated on his own Sunday.

The Flyers play at the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday and home against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday
