KENT, Wash. - Colin Jacobs scored in regulation and had the only goal in the shootout to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-3 win over the Victoria Royals on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Sean Aschim and Tyler Alos also scored for Seattle (12-15-1).
Logan Nelson, Kade Pilton and Hayden Rintoul all scored on the power play for Victoria (13-18-3).
Calvin Pickard made 35 saves in regulation and overtime and then stopped all three shooters in the shootout for the win while Keith Hamilton stopped 33 shots in defeat.
The Thunderbirds went 1-for-9 on the power play as the Royals scored three times on four opportunities.
The win gives Seattle the season series over Victoria 3-1 with two of the wins coming in shootouts.
