Jacob Markstrom makes 35 saves, leads Rampage to 3-2 win over Bulldogs @NHLdotcom

SAN ANTONIO - Jacob Markstrom made 35 saves as the San Antonio Rampage beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-2 in American Hockey League action Wednesday.

Defenceman Michael Caruso scored the winner for the Rampage (36-27-5) at 18:43 of the second period. Scott Timmins and Greg Rallo also scored.

Olivier Malka and Robert Slaney replied for the Bulldogs (30-31-7). Robert Mayer made 24 saves.

San Antonio opened the scoring 5:29 into the first period when Timmins' glove-side slapshot beat Bulldogs Mayer. Rallo gave San Antonio a 2-0 lead just 2:15 later with a rising shot from the right face-off circle.

Malka got Hamilton on the board at 7:15 of the second period with his first AHL goal.

Slaney tied the game at 2-2 when he tucked the puck between Markstrom's pad and the left post, scoring his second goal in three games.

Caruso scored the winner point.

There was no scoring in the third period, though Markstrom made several key saves to keep the Bulldogs from evening the score.
