The third pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2005 NHL Draft, Johnson has 58 goals and 244 points in 629 NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings. He was acquired by the Blue Jackets with a conditional first-round draft pick (Marko Dano) for forward Jeff Carter on Feb. 23, 2012.
Columbus is 28-33-8, 15 points behind the Detroit Red Wings for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference with 13 games remaining.
