Jack Combs scores three goals as Saginaw beats the Sting 4-2 @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Jack Combs scored three goals and Edward Pasquale made 44 saves Tuesday as the Saginaw Spirit beat the Sarnia Sting 4-2.

The win pushes Saginaw past Guelph into fourth place in the Ontario Hockey League's Western Conference and leaves Sarnia five points behind.

Tyler Murovich also scored for the Saginaw (33-23-3-4), which went 3-for-8 on the power play. Jordan Szwarz, Chris Chappell and Jordan Skellett each added two assists for the Spirit.

Matt Martin and Justin DiBenedetto replied for Sarnia (31-25-3-3).

The game had a rare 11 a.m. start at Dow Event Center.
