J.D. Watt scores on power play 36 seconds into OT as Rebels down Raiders 2-1

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - J.D. Watt's power-play goal 36 seconds into overtime gave the Red Deer Rebels won 2-1 over the Prince Albert Raiders in WHL play on Saturday.

The Rebels converted on their first shot of the extra period, taking advantage of a roughing call against Cody Vann with 40 seconds remaining in regulation.

Rayn McDonald, with his third goal of the season, opened the scoring eight minutes into the match for Prince Albert (0-2-1).

Luke Betts scored the tying goal at 7:08 of the third period.

Raiders goalie Dustin Butler made 25 saves, while James Reimer had the same total in net for Red Deer (3-2-0).
