Iwanski scores winner as Everett Silvertips edge Kelowna 5-4 in OT @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Dan Iwanski scored 5:18 into overtime, giving the Everett Silvertips a 5-4 victory over the Kelowna Rockets in Game 1 of their first-round Western Hockey League playoff series Friday night.

Curtis Kulchar tied the game for Everett with 4:26 remaining in regulation to force overtime.

Byron Froese, Zack Dailey and Kellan Tochkin also scored for Everett. Thomas Heemskerk earned the win in goal with 30 saves.

Antoine Corbin, Geordie Wudrick, Brett Bulmer and Collin Bowman tallied for Kelowna. Adam Brown made 46 saves in goal for the Rockets.

Game 2 will be played in Everett Saturday night.
