Isles Day-to-Day: Ladd on IR, Fritz Recalled

Andrew Ladd (upper body) was placed on injured reserve on Sunday, retroactive to January 5. Tanner Fritz was recalled from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers under emergency conditions in an accompanying transaction.
Ladd has 18 points (9G, 9A) in 42 games this season and has missed two straight contests. This is Fritz's second-career recall and second in as many weeks. Fritz made his NHL debut on Jan. 2 against the Boston Bruins and played three games before being loaned back to Bridgeport on Jan. 7.
While Fritz's recall coincides with Ladd's IR designation, an injury to Casey Cizikas on Saturday afternoon was the catalyst for the transaction. Cizikas will miss Monday's game against the Montreal Canadiens. Fritz practiced with Cal Clutterbuck and Jason Chimera on Sunday.
