Defenseman Travis Hamonic will be in the New York Islanders lineup against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday (7 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, MSG+, SUN, NHL.TV).

Hamonic sustained an upper-body injury blocking a shot during a game against the Edmonton Oilers on Nov. 5 and was expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
In 12 games this season Hamonic has two goals and five points, and is averaging 19:46 of ice time per game.
Hamonic's return comes on the same day the Islanders placed defenseman Dennis Seidenberg on
injured reserve because of an upper-body injury
sustained in the third period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Florida Panthers on Thursday. Seidenberg is out indefinitely.
