UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- New York Islanders forward Mikhail Grabovski was helped off the ice with an upper-body injury midway through the first period against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday. He did not return to the game.
Grabovski was driven to the ice along the left-wing boards in San Jose’s zone on a hit by Sharks forward John Scott at 13:22. Play was stopped and Grabovski was assisted to the dressing room by Islanders medical personnel.
Islanders coach Jack Capuano did not have an update on Grabovski's condition after the game.
