Injured Marchessault Returns To Golden Knights Practice On Friday

The most welcome sign in Golden Knights practice on Friday may have been the return of injured forward Jonathan Marchessault.
Although Marchessault wore a no-contact jersey and remains on the injured reserve list after sustaining a lower-body injury in last Friday's game against the Detroit Red Wings, this was his first full practice with the team. And based on what he had to say after practice at City National Arena, it would appear as if Marchessault's return will come sooner, rather than later.
"I skated yesterday, alone," Marchessault said. "Today I felt good and tried to push my limits. I feel good."
Marchessault, who scored against Detroit last Friday and notched 30 goals with the Florida Panthers last season, said that more than anything, he feels like he has to get his timing back.

"When you get off the ice, I think it was five or six days, you lose your shooting," Marchessault said. "You lose your skating, cardio. So you try to do a bit of everything. It (today) was good.

Marchessault would have to be activated off the IR before he could return to the lineup.
"I'm going to talk to the trainers, coaches," Marchessault said. "Maybe tomorrow's early. But maybe (next) Tuesday or Friday."
Marc-Andre Fleury and Erik Haula, two other Golden Knights players injured in last Friday's game against Detroit, have not yet returned to practice with the team.
Gerard Gallant provided an update on both of their statuses.
"Haula, I think he's going to start skating tomorrow," Gallant said. "He's doing better.
"Fleury, I haven't heard nothing."
