NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jarome Iginla scored two goals and assisted on another, and Dion Phaneuf set up two goals as the Calgary Flames beat the Nashville Predators 5-3 Thursday night.
Rene Bourque, David Moss and Michael Cammalleri had the other Flames goals. Calgary was outshot 14-4 in the scoreless first period. Greg Zanon, Jordin Tootoo and Jason Arnott scored for the Predators, who struck twice against goalie Miikka Kiprusoff in a span of 19 seconds in the second.
Zanon gave Nashville a 1-0 lead when he fired a one-timed shot from high above the right circle that went into the top right corner of the net at 5:42.
At 6:01, Jordin Tootoo skated into the left circle and beat Kiprusoff to a similar spot to make it a two-goal edge for the Predators. Arnott made it 3-0 at 8:10 when he scored from the slot.
Nashville's three goals within a span of 2:28 were the Predators' fastest three at home in team history.
Iginla started Calgary's comeback at 14:04 with a one-timer from the right circle that beat Dan Ellis wide to his left side. Ellis had come out in front of the crease to the right.
In the third period, the Flames scored two quick goals from close range. Bourque beat Ellis to the right off a rebound at 6:52. Moss tied it 3-3 at 8:05 with a shot from the edge of the crease.
Cammalleri scored the go-ahead goal during a power play at 7:29 as he was stationed in front of the net. He redirected Phaneuf's long shot from the left side.
With three seconds remaining, Iginla backhanded in an empty-net goal.
Notes: Predators C Nick Tarnasky made his season debut and earned an assist after being sidelined since training camp due to a broken thumb. ... Zanon's goal was the seventh by a Nashville defenceman this season and his first since March 31, 2007. ... Zanon and Tootoo's goals were the fourth fastest pair scored by the Predators. ...
