John Tortorella was named the new coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday after the club fired Todd Richards.

Blues' Stastny placed on IR because of broken foot
St. Louis Blues forward Paul Stastny was placed on injured reserve Wednesday because of a broken right foot and will be re-evaluated in five weeks.

Flames goaltender Ramo placed on waivers
Goaltender Karri Ramo was placed on waivers by the Calgary Flames on Wednesday. Ramo is 0-3-0 with a 4.37 goals-against average and .879 save percentage in three games.

Bruins' Beleskey out, Bergeron in against Flyers
