NEWS:

Capitals look to reach 'another level' facing Rangers
The Washington Capitals face the New York Rangers for the first time since losing in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Second Round in 2015. The two top teams in the Metropolitan Division view this as a measuring-stick game.

Wings, Lightning chasing momentum; Zetterberg eyes 300th
When the Detroit Red Wings play the Tampa Bay Lightning, each will be looking to win two straight for the first time since the start of the season. Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg needs one goal to reach the 300-goal mark and become the seventh Swede to do that in the NHL.

Blues' Tarasenko set to return against Kings
The return of right wing Vladimir Tarasenko to the St. Louis Blues lineup against the Los Angeles Kings will help create at least some stability. Tarasenko will take his normal position playing on the top line with Alexander Steen and Jori Lehtera after missing one game with a lower-body injury.

Bruins seek fifth straight as Seguin comes to town
Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak will miss the game Tuesday against the Dallas Stars with a foot injury. The Bruins called up forward Alexander Khokhlachev, the 40th pick in 2011, from Providence of the AHL to replace Pastrnak. Tyler Seguin, part of a 2013 trade in which the Bruins acquired Loui Eriksson, has five goals and 12 assists for Dallas this season.

Senators' Lazar, Hoffman back in lineup at Canadiens
Left wing Mike Hoffman and right wing Curtis Lazar will return from their injuries and line up with center Kyle Turris against Montreal. Ottawa will be facing a Canadiens team perfect at Bell Centre with five regulation wins in five games.
