Benn, Price, Krejci named Stars of the Month
Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price and Boston Bruins center David Krejci have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the month of October. Benn shared first in the NHL with nine goals and led the League with 17 points, helping the Stars (9-2-0, 18 points) match their best 11-game start to a season in franchise history (also 1996-97 and 2006-07).

McDavid named Rookie of the Month for October 
Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid, who led all rookies with 5-7—12 in 12 games, has been named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for October. McDavid compiled a seven-game point streak from Oct. 17-29 (4-7—11).

Marchand, Allen, Hall named 'Three Stars' of week
Bruins wing Brad Marchand, Blues goalie Jake Allen and Oilers wing Taylor Hall have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Nov. 1. Marchand shared first in the NHL with four goals and added a pair of assists to lead the Bruins (6-3-1, 13 points) to a trio of wins, extending the club's point streak to seven contests (6-0-1).

Hossa out, Dano in for Blackhawks against Kings
Marian Hossa and Bryan Bickell will not play for the Blackhawks against the Kings at United Center on Monday, but Marko Dano will. Hossa is sidelined with a lower-body injury, while Bickell was assigned to the AHL. Dano was recalled and will make his debut for Chicago.

Islanders' Tavares day-to-day with illness: report
New York Islanders captain John Tavares will 'be out a little bit' longer because of an illness, coach Jack Capuano said Monday.
