Blues' Schwartz injured, out Saturday vs. Islanders
St. Louis Blues left wing Jaden Schwartz injured his left leg during practice Friday and went to the hospital for evaluation, according to coach Ken Hitchcock.

Chara set for 1,200th game as Bruins visit Islanders
Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara will play in his 1,200th NHL game Friday when the Bruins play the New York Islanders at Barclays Center. Chara played the first 231 games of his NHL career with the Islanders.

The Red Wings will be without center Brad Richards because of a back injury when they look to halt a three-game losing streak against the Flames.

Jimmy Roberts, five-time Cup champion, dies at 75
Jimmy Roberts, a five-time Stanley Cup champion and the first skater taken by the St. Louis Blues in the 1967 NHL expansion draft, died of cancer Friday. He was 75. Roberts, a defenseman, led the team to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the franchise's first three seasons.

Stars' Demers suspended two games for elbowing
Stars defenseman Jason Demers has been suspended for two games, without pay, for elbowing Penguins forward Nick Bonino.
