Blues activate Shattenkirk from IR, sign Havlat
The St. Louis Blues have activated defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk from IR and signed veteran forward Martin Havlat to a one-year, two-way contract. Shattenkirk missed the past 10 games with a lower-body injury. He has one assist in three games this season.

Wild forward Parise to miss at least a couple games
Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise will miss at least a couple games (lower-body injury), coach Mike Yeo said Friday. Parise, who leads Minnesota with seven goals, had an MRI on his right knee Friday morning and the Wild were waiting to get the results before announcing a more definitive timeline on Parise's return.

Ducks captain Getzlaf returning vs. Blue Jackets
Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf will return to the lineup Friday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He missed four games recovering from an appendectomy.

Canadiens unveil 2016 NHL Winter Classic jersey
The Montreal Canadiens unveiled the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic jersey to be worn Jan. 1, 2016 in their long-anticipated outdoor game against the Boston Bruins. The jersey recalls multiple elements related to the Canadiens rich history. The chest stripe is a shade of blue inspired by the first-ever Canadiens jersey worn after their founding in 1909.

2015 Hockey Hall of Class gets their rings
Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Pronger, Sergei Fedorov, Phil Housley, Angela Ruggiero, Peter Karmanos and Bill Hay received their Hall of Fame rings Friday, kicking off a memorable weekend in Toronto, to be wrapped up Monday with an induction ceremony.
