IceDogs' Sisca earned OHL's weekly player honours
NHL.com @NHLdotcomTORONTO - Mathew Sisca of the Niagara IceDogs collected the Ontario Hockey League's player of the week award after picking up five goals and two assists in three games.
Sisca, an 18-year-old from Woodbridge, Ont., had a goal and assist in Thursday's 2-0 home victory over Owen Sound. He scored a goal in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kitchener Rangers the following night.
The IceDogs rebounded Saturday with a 6-2 win in Peterborough, as Sisca earned his first OHL career hat-track and added on assist as Niagara finished 2-0-1-0 on the week.
Matt Duchene of the Brampton Battalion and Mike Murphy of the Belleville Bulls earned honourable mentions.
