Ice rally for three third-period goals in 3-2 playoff win over Lethbridge @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Ben Maxwell scored the game winner with 6:18 left in regulation as the Kootenay Ice stormed back with three third-period goals to stun the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-2 in the opening game of their WHL Eastern Conference semifinal series Friday night.

Ian Barteaux and Kris Foucault also scored as the Ice erased a 2-0 third-period deficit. Goaltender Kris Lazaruk made 24 saves to get the win.

Lethbridge had taken a 2-0 lead on second-period goals by Jesse Craige and Colton Sceviour. Juha Metsola made 29 saves in net.

Game 2 of the series goes Saturday night in Lethbridge.
