CRANBROOK, B.C. - Ian Duval scored two goals and added an assist, while Tomas Karpov also netted a pair as the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the Kootenay Ice 7-4 in WHL action Saturday night.
The Warriors (10-21-0-1) jumped out to a 2-1 first period lead on goals by Brian Sommers and Duval, while Andrew Bailey replied for the Ice (17-14-2-3).
The club's split the middle frame with two goals a piece as the Warriors took 4-3 lead into the final period.
Karpov, Joel Broda and Duval, with an empty-net goal, got third period goals for Moose Jaw.
Jason Bast rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.
Tylan Stephens led the Ice with a goal and two assists in a losing cause, while Matt Fraser and Dustin Sylvester also counted.
Jeff Bosch got the win, stopping 28 shots while Nathan Lieuwen gave up six goals on 26 shots to take the loss.
