Hurricanes ride power play to win against Islanders @NHLdotcom
Ryan Murphy, Jeff Skinner, Andrej Sekera and Nathan Gerbe each had one goal and one assist to lead the Carolina Hurricanes past the New York Islanders 4-2 at Nassau Coliseum.

Hurricanes goalie Drew MacIntyre made 26 saves for the win.

Casey Cizikas' shorthanded goal got the Islanders on the board at 3:26 of the third period after they fell behind 3-0. Ryan Strome scored with 1:27 remaining.

Jaroslav Halak, the Islanders' new No. 1 goaltender, allowed four goals on 23 shots.

Carolina went 3-for-6 on the power play; New York was 0-for-5.
