Hurricanes rally to beat Isles 5-4

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -Chad LaRose and Matt Cullen each scored two goals and the Carolina Hurricanes ran their home winning streak to seven games, overcoming a horrible second period to beat the New York Islanders 5-4 on Friday night.

The Hurricanes jumped to sixth in the Eastern Conference, a point ahead of the New York Rangers and two in front of Montreal.
