RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Hurricanes have placed forward Chad LaRose on injured reserve and have brought up goaltender Justin Peters from their AHL affiliate in Albany.
The Hurricanes said Friday that LaRose suffered an upper body injury during a 4-2 win against Chicago on Jan. 30 and did not travel with the team on its four-game road trip.
He previously missed 17 games with a lower body injury.
Peters has yet to play in an NHL game, but has been recalled five times in his career.
The Hurricanes play at Buffalo on Friday night.
