Hurricanes goalie Metsola named CHL goalie of the week @NHL

TORONTO - Juha Metsola of the Lethbridge Hurricanes was named Canadian Hockey League goaltender of the week Thursday.

He was 2-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and .960 save percentage in two playoff games last week.

Metsola made 25 saves in the Hurricanes' 6-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Game 3 of their Western Hockey League Eastern Conference final. He allowed two goals on 25 shots in a 4-2 victory in Game 4 to help the Hurricanes complete a four-game sweep.

John Unice of the Kitchener Rangers was the Ontario Hockey League nominee and Ryan Mior of the Gatineau Olympiques was the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League nominee.
