Eric Staal and Alexander Semin, two-thirds of the Carolina Hurricanes' top line, will make their preseason debuts Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues at PNC Arena.
Staal (core muscle) and Semin (wrist) each had surgery over the summer. They'll look to rebuild the chemistry they've shown in the past with Jiri Tlusty as Carolina prepares for its season opener against the New York Islanders on Oct. 10.
"It's been good," Staal told the Hurricanes website about his progress in training camp. "I'm ready to get into game action to test that and see how it feels, but I foresee no issues moving forward."
