RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -The Carolina Hurricanes activated defenseman Tim Gleason from injured reserve on Friday.
Gleason missed 13 games after breaking his left foot Dec. 23 against Florida. He said he expected to play Friday night against Washington.
He has three assists and 19 penalty minutes. He has missed 22 games because of injury this season.
Gleason was acquired in September from Los Angeles in the deal that sent top defensive prospect Jack Johnson to the Kings.
