Hughesman, Lazo score two goals each as Americans beat Winter Hawks 4-3 @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Adam Hughesman and Johnny Lazo scored two goals each and Drew Owsley made 28 saves as the Tri-City Americans edged the Portland Winter Hawks 4-3 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Hughesman's power-play goal with 4:19 to play broke the tie for Tri-City (2-0-0). Brendan Shinnimin and Brett Pflouffe assisted on the game-winning goal.

Luke Walker had a hat trick for the Winter Hawks (1-1-0), while goalie Ian Curtis made 32 saves.
