Howse sparks Chilliwack Bruins to 6-3 upset of Tri-City Americans

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Ryan Howse scored the first of four Chilliwack goals in the third period to lead the Bruins to a 6-3 victory over the Tri-City Americans in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Kevin Sundher, Roman Horak, Shane Neigum, Colton Grant and Jamie Crooks also scored for Chilliwack (25-26-6), who won for just the second time in Tri-City in nine tries. Lucus Gore finished with 30 saves.

Johnny Lazo provided all the offence for the Americans (39-15-2). Alex Pechurskiy had 20 saves for Tri-City in his worst outing of the season.

The loss was just the sixth on home ice this season for the Americans.
