How to Watch, Live Stream Ducks vs. Preds

The second installment in a three-game homestand comes tonight as the Nashville Predators meet the Anaheim Ducks at Bridgestone Arena (7 p.m. CT). It's the first of three meetings between the Western Conference rivals; the Preds and Ducks will also visit each other once in the month of January.
Nashville has points in two of their last three outings, including a 3-2 shootout loss to Florida on Saturday night. Their most recent win came in a commanding victory in Las Vegas a week ago, but the Preds are looking to avoid extending their first losing streak of the season.
It shouldn't be difficult for the Preds to be ready to face off against the Ducks, either. Not only is Anaheim currently near the top of the League's standings, but the Preds and Ducks have had their share of run-ins over the years, including three meetings in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

"We've had some good playoff series with them, we've had some really good regular-season games with them, and you have to get up for that game," Preds forward Austin Watson said. "They come in, and they're a big, heavy team that plays hard, they play physical, and they're just hard to play against -- they've been like that for a long time. That's no different tonight]. It's going to be a tough game."
Predators forward Filip Forsberg was absent from practice on Monday. He has missed the last two games and is currently day-to-day with a lower-body injury. The Preds reassigned forward Yakov Trenin to Milwaukee on Sunday after the forward made his NHL debut in Nashville on Saturday night.

Last Time Out:
Roman Josi and Kyle Turris scored in the third period as the Predators came back to salvage a point against the Panthers before ultimately falling in the shootout. Defenseman Ryan Ellis, who leads the Preds in scoring with 11 points, is currently riding a multi-point streak of four games. He is the seventh player in franchise history to attain that feat, and no Predators player has ever reached the five-game mark.
Behind Ellis is Matt Duchene with 10 points and the injured Forsberg with eight points. Both Josi and Ryan Johansen have seven points apiece; Josi, Turris, Viktor Arvidsson and Nick Bonino have three goals each. Pekka Rinne is 4-0-1 on the season with a .913 save percentage.

The Opposition:
Anaheim lost to Calgary by a 2-1 score on Sunday night, their first home defeat of the season in five tries. Entering Monday night's action, Anaheim's 12 points were good for third in the Western Conference.
Jakob Silfverberg leads the club with five goals and eight points, followed by Rickard Rakell with seven points, and then Adam Henrique and Hampus Lindholm with six points each. Henrique also has five goals on the season; Rakell has three. John Gibson is 4-3-0 in net for Anaheim with a .939 save percentage.
All-Time Meetings:
The Predators are 31-30-(2)-10 all-time against the Ducks, including a 21-10-(2)-3 record at Bridgestone Arena. Nashville has earned at least a point in seven of its last eight games against Anaheim (5-1-2).
At home, the Preds have won six in a row over their Pacific Division rivals, allowing two-or-fewer goals in all of those contests. Nashville reached the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history after defeating Anaheim, 4-2, in the 2017 Western Conference Final.

Notables Versus Anaheim:
Pekka Rinne recorded his franchise-record 22nd shutout (and 100th NHL victory) in a 3-0 win over Anaheim on Oct. 29, 2011. He is 17-7-6 versus the Ducks in his career with a .920 save percentage and three shutouts.
Roman Josi scored his first career NHL goal on Dec. 10, 2011, versus Anaheim. He has 13 points (3g-10a) in 20 career regular-season games against the Ducks. Colton Sissons has averaged nearly a point per game in his last seven meetings with Anaheim, posting a goal and five assists.
