TORONTO - They've dropped to 13th spot in the Eastern Conference but Peter Horachek feels the Toronto Maple Leafs must take a playoff approach to snap their dubious 10-game losing streak.
Toronto dropped a 4-3 decision Tuesday night in Nashville to tie the club record for consecutive losses, a mark set in 1967 when the Leafs last won the Stanley Cup.
Horachek, the Leafs' interim head coach, said during the regular season teams often use nifty passes to set up goals whereas in the playoffs the focus becomes simply putting the puck on the opposition's net.
Horachek said that's an approach the Leafs must adopt in order to secure a victory.
Toronto resumes league action Friday night visiting the New Jersey Devils.
