SASKATOON - Dylan Hood scored twice in the first period as the Moose Jaw Warriors ended an 11-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday night in the WHL.
The victory allowed the Warriors (15-35-1-1) to salvage a split of their home-and-home series with the Blades (37-12-3-1), with each team winning on the road. Saskatoon saw its 10-game winning streak come to an end, while failing to record at least a point for the first time in 15 games.
Martin Filo had a goal and two assists for Moose Jaw, while Cody Smuk added a single.
Walter Wintoneak led the way with a pair of goals for Saskatoon, with Burke Gallimore adding a power-play goal early in the first period.
Jeff Bosch stopped 25 shots to earn the win for the Warriors.
Blades netminder Adam Morrison made 16 saves in the loss.
