CALGARY - Graham Hood scored twice to lead the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 4-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action Sunday night.
Cam Braes and Brennan Yadlowski each had a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes (13-22-4) while Carter Bancks and Mitch Maxwell chipped in with a pair of helpers each.
Joel Broda and Rigby Burgart scored for the Hitmen (27-10-2), who have lost both games they've played against the Hurricanes this season.
The Hurricanes jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period as Cam Braes and Hood scored goals 27 seconds apart.
The Hitmen rallied to out-shoot the Hurricanes 18-1 in the second period and tied the game on goals by Broda and Burgart.
Just 43 seconds into the third period, Yadlowski blasted a point shot past Calgary goalie Michael Snider during a Lethbridge power play. Hood then rounded out the scoring with an empty-net goal.
In his first action since Oct. 30 due to a foot injury, Lethbridge goalie Linden Rowat stopped 35 of 37 shots to record the victory, while Snider made nine saves at the other end.
