Holmberg scores twice to lead the Chiefs over the Thunderbirds 4-2 @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Mitch Holmberg scored twice as the Spokane Chiefs defeated the host Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Todd Fiddler had a goal and two assists for the Chiefs (19-13-5) while Steven Kuhn added a single goal.

Branden Troock and Burke Gallimore scored for the Thunderbirds (16-21-1), who have now dropped four straight games.

Mac Engel made 24 saves for the win as Calvin Pickard stopped 36 shots in defeat.

The power play was never a factor as both clubs went 0 for 5.
