SEATTLE - Bud Holloway scored a short-handed goal in the first period to help the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-2 win over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League action Sunday.
It was Holloway's 43rd goal of the season.
David Richard, Jim O'Brien, Jan Eberle and Prab Rai also scored for the Thunderbirds and Jacob DeSerres picked up his 20th win of the season, making 36 saves.
Seattle won for the third straight time and finished the Western Hockey League season with a 42-23-5-2 record. The Thunderbirds, who open the playoffs against Kelowna at home on Friday, won the season series with the Silvertips 8-2-0-0 and went 25-6-3-2 at KeyArena this season.
Zack Dailey scored both goals for Everett, which lost its fifth straight game and finished the season at 39-30-0-3. The Silvertips open the playoffs in Spokane on Friday.
