First intermission begins at 6:26 of first period for repair of surface @NHLdotcom

The first period of the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins at PPG Paints Arena on Sunday was stopped because of problems with a spot on the ice.

Players headed to their locker rooms with 6:26 remaining because of a hole in the ice in front of the Penguins' bench was too large for a quick repair. The teams will return after intermission and play the remainder of the first period, change ends and begin the second period.
