Hoff's game winner late in regulation lifts Tri-City past Everett 3-1 @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Drew Hoff scored the game winner with 2:59 left in regulation to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 3-1 victory over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League action Friday.

Jason Reese opened the scoring for the Americans at 6:05 of the first, and Colton Yellow Horn ran his scoring streak to a league-best 16 games with an empty-net goal with 33 seconds left.

Americans goalie Chet Pickard finished with 23 saves and posted his 20th win of the season.

Jonathan Harty scored Everett's lone goal at 12:21 of the second period with one second left on the power play, ending a drought on the man advantage the stretched back to Nov. 30.

Leland Irving, who was cut from the World Junior Championship camp Thursday, had a stellar outing, stopping 27 of 29 shots by the Americans.
