BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Cody Hodgson and Evgeny Grachev each had a goal and an assist as the Brampton Battalion closed the gap on Belleville by beating the Bulls 4-1 on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.
With the win, Brampton moves within four points of Belleville for top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Battalion also has two games in hand.
Stephon Thorne and Anthony Peluso also scored for Brampton (41-18-1-1).
Brandon Mashinter had the lone reply for the Bulls (42-17-2-2). Belleville's leading scorer, Eric Tangradi, was held off the scoresheet, ending his point streak at seven games.
Thomas McCollum made 27 saves for the Battalion, while Bulls netminder Mike Murphy stopped 21 shots.
