Hitmen defeat Hurricanes 4-2, take 3-0 East semifinal lead @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Tomas Karpov had a goals and two assists as the Calgary Hitmen beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2 Tuesday and moved within a game of the Western Hockey League Eastern Conference final.

Kris Foucault, Keith Seabrook and Michael Stone also scored for the Hitmen, who took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series. Kyle Bortis added three assists.

Mitch Versteeg and Colton Sceviour replied for the Hurricanes.

Martin Jones made 17 saves for the Hitmen while Juha Metsola stopped 29 shots for the Hurricanes.
