Hill has goal, two assists to lead Spirit to 6-3 OHL victory over Whalers @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Jordan Hill had a goal and two assists to lead the Saginaw Spirit past the Plymouth Whalers 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Tuesday.

Hill, Ivan Telegin and Tyler Murovich broke open a close game with three third-period goals. Jordan Szwarz, Josh Shalla and Barry Sanderson also scored for Saginaw (32-25-6), which clinched a playoff spot with the victory.

A. J. Jenks had a goal and an assist for Plymouth (36-25-2). Garrett Meurs and RJ Mahalak recorded the other goals.

Spirit goaltender Edward Pasquale was named the game's first star after stopping 49 shots. Matt Hackett made 24 saves for Plymouth.

The win was Saginaw's third straight while Plymouth dropped its third consecutive game.
