NHL to host fan festival at Heritage Classic

Spectator Plaza will feature family-friendly attractions, live music before Jets play Oilers

Fans with tickets to the 2016 NHL Heritage Classic Alumni Game and/or the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic are invited to join the League and its corporate partners at Spectator Plaza for the official NHL pregame fan festival.

The Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers will play outdoors in the Heritage Classic at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg on Oct. 23 (3 p.m. ET; NHLN, SN, TVA Sports 2). In addition, alumni from each franchise, including Wayne Gretzky and Teemu Selanne, will play in the alumni game at Investors Group Field on Oct. 22 (4 p.m. ET; NHLN, SN).

Spectator Plaza, located in the University of Manitoba student parking lot across the street from Gates 1 and 2 of Investors Group Field, will offer hockey fans of all ages family-friendly interactive games and attractions, live music, special appearances, and dozens of other dynamic activities. The Plaza will be open Oct. 22 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and Oct. 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
