Hayley-Wickenheiser

Edmonton Oilers prospects received instruction from one of the greatest hockey players ever on Sunday.
Hayley Wickenheiser, a four-time Olympic gold medalist who is widely considered the best women's hockey player ever, showed up as a guest coach on the second day of Oilers development camp in Jasper, Alberta.

Wickenheiser won five Olympic medals (four gold, one silver) and two tournament MVP awards, as well as 13 medals (seven gold, six silver) playing for Canada at the IIHF World Championship. She had 137 points (55 goals, 82 assists) in 87 Olympic and World Championship games for Canada before announcing her retirement on Jan. 13.

Wickenheiser was the first woman to score in a men's professional game, doing so for Kirkkonummen Salamat in Finland's second division on Feb. 1, 2003. She was also invited to Philadelphia Flyers rookie camp in 1998 and 1999.
