Hawks visit MSG, Rangers in NHLN's Monday game @NHLdotcom
The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks open November with a Monday visit to the Big Apple to play the New York Rangers in an Original Six showdown.

The NHL Network will have all the action from Madison Square Garden, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Fresh off a busy October that saw Chicago play a League-high 13 games (7-5-1), the Hawks hope to start November by putting together back-to-back wins for the first time since reeling off a four-game winning streak in the middle of October.

Despite a lack of consistency, however, the Hawks still sit atop the Central Division with 15 points, putting them second in the Western Conference and League standings, one point behind the Los Angeles Kings.

New York, meanwhile, also has been inconsistent, putting together a 5-4-1 mark in October that was capped by Saturday's impressive 2-0 shutout of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist made 36 saves against Toronto and should be in net again Monday.

Injuries have bedeviled both teams in the early going and each team will be missing its Slovakian star Monday. Both New York's Marian Gaborik and Chicago's Marian Hossa are on the shelf with upper-body injuries.

But there is good news on the injury front for Chicago, which will welcome back defenseman Brian Campbell. Campbell hasn't played this season since injuring his knee during the preseason. His presence will ease the workload on the Hawks' top defense pairing of Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook, both of whom are in the top six for average ice time per game.
