LOS ANGELES -- Martin Havlat made his 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs debut for the San Jose Sharks against the Los Angeles Kings in Game 6 of their Western Conference First Round series at Staples Center on Monday night.
Havlat will replace Mike Brown
in the lineup for the Sharks. San Jose also replaced goaltender Antti Niemi
with Alex Stalock
, who made his first NHL postseason start.
The Sharks also inserted defenseman Matt Irwin into the lineup in place of injured defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic.
Brown was part of a surprisingly productive fourth line for San Jose in the first couple of games in this series, but that trio has not played as well of late and has been dominated in puck possession. Havlat had 12 goals and 22 points in 48 games for the Sharks during the regular season.
