Harper scores twice as Otters beat Rangers

KITCHENER, Ont. - Stephen Harper scored twice as the Erie Otters downed the host Kitchener Rangers 6-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Connor Crisp had a goal and two assists for the Otters (10-19-5) while Connor Brown chipped in with three assists.

Connor McDavid had a goal and an assist and Jake Evans and Spencer Abraham each scored once to round out Erie's offence.

Darby Llewellyn and Ben Fanelli scored for the Rangers (19-10-4), who dropped their fourth game in a row on home ice.

Devin Williams made 32 saves for the win as John Gibson stopped 32-of-38 shots in a losing cause.

Both clubs went 0 for 5 on the power play.
