Harper scores late winner as Everett shades Saskatoon 4-3

EVERETT, Wash. - Shane Harper scored the game-winning goal with just over a minute left in regulation, giving the Everett Silvertips a 4-3 victory over the Saskatoon Blades on Wednesday night in WHL action.

Harper received the puck along the left board, drove the net, then cut across the crease before wrapping the puck around Saskatoon goaltender Braden Holtby.

Dan Gendur, Graham Potuer and Dane Crowley also scored for Everett (6-6-0-0) and Leland Irving made 17 saves in goal for the Silvertips.

Travis Toomey, Justin McCrae and Walter Wintoneak scored for Saskatoon (3-9-1-0), which suffered its fifth straight defeat.

Garrett Zemlak stopped just three of the five shots he faced before being pulled late in the first period. Holtby made 29 stops in relief.
